Description

Conserve of roses, labelled by Sir Stuart Threipland in his medicine chest as ‘Cons. Ros.’

Preserved roses, usually pounded and mixed with sugar, it was used in both cooking and medicine. As a medicine, it was used for heart and digestive problems.
